Gory Dorky : Lion and the Unicorn Necklace

Gory Dorky

Regular price $ 89.95 AUD

The Lion and the Unicorn are both featured on the United Kingdom's royal coat of arms!

It's said that the rhyme refers to the amalgamation of the Scottish and English coat of arms that occurred when James VI of Scotland was crowned James I of England.

In Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking-glass the Lion and the Unicorn are fighting for the crown of the White King.

The Rhyme goes:
"The Lion and the Unicorn;
We're fighting for the crown,
The Lion beat the Unicorn
All round about the town.

Some gave them white bread,
And some gave them brown;
Some gave them plum cake
And drummed them out of town."

Necklace measures 14cm by 5.5cm

This Necklace features a variety of handcast swirled/glitter acrylics.
