Black sunflowers represent intuition, mysticism and magic. They also symbolise embracing both the light and the shadow sides of yourself and life. Their dark beauty suggests an empowerment in their uniqueness and to explore the unknown without fear.
The sunflower mini brooch measures 5.5 cm and is geometric in form to compliment the natural spiral geometry of the flower centre.
Each petal is cut and engraved from black gloss and shimmering crackle graphite acrylic and individually assembled in place. The design is built up in subtle layers to bring depth to the flower and the centre is engraved wood in the fascinating Fibonacci pattern.
