Bush Kin was created after the recent black summer bushfires in an effort to pay respects to the millions of acres of forest lost and the animals that called it their home. Cat Coathup and her family spent a summer on edge, evacuating several times while watching friends nearby lose their homes, livelihoods and their lives. It was heartbreaking but in the face of adversary comes hope in new growth, regeneration and rebuilding communities and livelihoods.
Drawn by hand and laser cut in NSW Cat has tried to capture the essence and fun of the Australian bush and share it with Australia and the world. Featuring a range of Australian animals, landmarks and botanicals all made from Australian grown sustainably sourced hardwoods they are not only naturally beautiful but eco friendly as well.
